From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy choice for dinner with family, friends, or larger groups.

One of the most memorable parts of the menu is the variety of traditional Japanese set meals prepared with care. The 焼き魚とてびちの煮付け定食 stands out for its satisfying combination of grilled fish and simmered pork trotter, creating a hearty meal that feels both authentic and comforting. Another popular option is the 沖縄そば定食, a classic Okinawan favorite that offers rich flavors and a filling dining experience. These dishes reflect the restaurant’s focus on traditional regional food while maintaining the approachable style expected from a neighborhood shokudo.

The menu also includes thoughtful additions that enhance the overall meal. The 十穀米 provides a wholesome alternative to standard rice, adding texture and depth to many set meals. For diners looking for something with a modern twist, the 炙りソーキカレー combines curry with flavorful seared pork ribs, creating a dish that is both unique and satisfying. To finish on a sweet note, the ミニぜんざい offers a light dessert option that complements the savory dishes without feeling overly heavy.

During the visit, it was easy to notice how accommodating the restaurant is for different types of guests. Families will appreciate that it is good for kids, while larger groups can comfortably enjoy meals together without feeling crowded. The availability of beer makes dinner gatherings even more enjoyable, especially for those looking to unwind after a busy day.

Convenience is another positive aspect frequently mentioned in reviews. The ability to pay with PayPay adds a modern touch to the dining experience and makes transactions quick and simple. Combined with the welcoming environment and carefully prepared food, this feature contributes to the restaurant’s overall appeal.

Among dining locations in Haebaru, Komiya Shokudo offers a balanced experience built around flavorful set meals, traditional Okinawan specialties, and friendly service. The combination of classic dishes, family-friendly dining, and practical amenities creates a restaurant experience that feels genuine, comfortable, and worth returning to for another meal.

What customers say?

“ 6/2023 Third time. Convenient place to come with guests. No more partitions mentioned below, phew! Chanpon was ok. The sesame dango was good (My clothes always smell quite oily after having a meal here ) They do bento too, so we will consider getting some, sometime… Waitresses are running around busily during lunchtime, so if you’re sitting on the tatami, you can feel their footsteps… 12/2022 Really cool place; it’s impressive how much retro stuff they collected to put all over the place! More seats than I had imagined. It’s actually a casual place to eat though. Homey meals at reasonable prices… not amazing, not bad, just normal. Friend’s soupless noodles looked great The downside was that at our table the partition was immovable, so it was hard talking to our friend on the other side, lol. We got to choose where to sit, so I guess we should’ve checked… (Not all the tables had the immovable partition!) Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere though! (And get a view that reminded me of Florence outside!) ”

“ Very good food and priced very well. Simple lunch menu, however, very delicious and perfect portion sizes. Lunch for two was about 1,700yen. Had a small English handout to go with the menu. ”
